Summer Retreat
Discover something new on a summer holiday in the Antholzertal/Valle di Anterselva
Hiking, climbing & mountain biking
Active holiday
The Antholzertal/Valle di Anterselva has a very diverse alpine landscape that has everything that active vacationers could want for a fulfilling summer holiday in the mountains: dark alluvial forests and mysterious moors, deep-green alpine meadows, crystal-clear streams and roaring waterfalls, bizarre rock formations, and impressive peaks. In hiking boots or in the saddle of a mountain bike, you can dive deep into our mountain world and find the right route for every taste.
Magnificent walks by the Lake Anterselva
Natural treasures
The biggest attraction in the Antholzertal/Valle di Anterselva is surely the Lake Anterselva, by which our hotel is found. As part of the Pustertal lake landscape, our natural gem is the third-largest lake in South Tyrol and one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the entire Alpine region. With a surface area of 44 hectares, the Lake Anterselva lies at 1,642 m above sea level and is framed by an impressive Dolomite panorama. As our guest, we recommend the idyllic trail around the lake, which is about 3 kilometres long and suitable for strollers. This natural experience trail is always worth a walk. And on hot summer days – but only then – a dip in the pleasantly cool mountain lake water against a majestic backdrop is worth it. A large fallow deer enclosure can also be found near the hotel.
Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park
Mountain world
If it pulls you higher, you can wander through the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park to your heart’s content on your summer holiday in the Antholzertal/Valle di Anterselva. Its sometimes wooded, sometimes rocky landscape features numerous hiking trails that lead you up to the peaks of Hochgall (3,436 m), Wildgall (3,273 m), and other alpine highlights of the Rieserferner Group. Staller Saddle is another tour destination worth seeing. If you are travelling with family and would rather take it easy on your summer holiday in the Antholzertal/Valle di Anterselva, treat yourself to an excursion to the tranquil chapel in Obertal or to Huber or Steinzger Alm, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dolomites.
Fly fishing in the Lake Anterselva
Good catch!
The Lake Anterselva undoubtedly belongs to the most fascinating landscapes in South Tyrol. In the 44-hectare mountain lake, large marmorata and various types of trout and char—among others—romp about – a perfect place for fly fishing.
