Why we use regional ingredients

South Tyrolean cuisine is known far beyond the Alpine region for its traditionally prepared dishes. Besides old family recipes and a love of cooking, the kitchen at the Hotel Seehaus has yet another secret to success: the use of regional ingredients. Only seasonal organic produce from regional agriculture, the quality of which we are firmly convinced, comes into our pots and pans.

The origin
Our suppliers are proven providers of high-quality foods whose origin we know and whose flavourful quality you can confirm for yourself. In our dishes, among other things, we use local freshwater fish and organic produce from mountain farms that still produce milk products in the traditional way or take meat from animals (alpine cattle) that graze on lush alpine meadows.
